Swissôtel Pool
Remodel
Recently the Swissôtel
in Chicago began to make plans for a remodeling of their swimming pool area on
the 42nd floor of the hotel. They wanted something strikingly different and unique to Chicago.
The designers, Architectural Interiors of Annapolis, began to put together a plan that would make any visit to the Swissotel a memorable one. As a four star hotel the owners
expected to have a first class design.
The designers then contacted Tile Artisans about the possibility of creating a ceramic tile mural. They were interested
in our new High Resolution Image Transfer process. The idea was to create a photographic mural depicting the city’s
dramatic sky line. The mural would then be placed adjacent to the pool to achieve a reflection of the image on the water.
The project required Tile Artisans to supply the tile mural as well as the photograph to be reproduced. Tile Artisans
contacted Casey Sills to do the photo shoot for the project. Mr. Sills has been an architectural and advertising photographer

The Chicago Skyline mural will be an exciting
addition to the atmosphere of this Chicago landmark hotel for many
